Google Sketch Up

From knowing nothing of the program to creating something that looks kind of like my sketch is an accomplishment.
I have problems with my model, and still need to improve the aesthetics.

ARCH1101 - ASSIGNMENT 1

Image 1: Creative Work

This was a project I did last year, where I had to design a shopping mall and offices
in the district of Fairfield. We were given a narrow block and 50% of the land had to be landscaped, which made this project very challenging. In the photo are both a computer
generated image of the building I did in ArchiCAD and a physical model I made.

I first became aware of this house when I watched "Charlies Angels: Full Throttle", in the
movie it belonged to John Cleese's charicter. The house is unique in so many ways and levels.
My favourite aspects of the house are the angles on which walls, the roof and furniture are set, as well as the cast concrete roof with little sky lights in every triangle. The house is seamless, and it's hard to tell between the outside and inside, which makes this house very open and intriguing. The house was completed in 1963, and with such a modern design in the 60s, John
Lautner takes a place as one of my favourite Architects.

Image 3: Somthing Beautiful

I took this photo with my panoramic camera while on holidays with my girlfriend and her family. The sun was setting on a great day, and with such a beautiful setting, I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to get a beautiful picture. I took a few photos, but this one was my favourite.
